Harris County Children’s Protective Services (HCCP) and First and Goal, Inc. have been in partnership for several years. The connection was established to help motivate students to set and achieve goals; while also exposing them to the resources and tools needed to be effective and productive members of their schools and communities. Our definitive goal is to empower today’s youth and provide positive relationships to enhance their quality of life.
Aldine ISD – Prepare to Dream
First and Goal, Inc. has partnered with Aldine ISD for over ten years for the “Prepare to Dream” Peer Leadership Program. “Prepare to Dream” effectively encourages youth to become leaders among their peer groups by developing beneficial tools for positive influence. The peer mentor leaders promote a college-going atmosphere at their campuses and help their peers as they prepare for college. First and Goal, Inc. facilitate the leadership and team-building training sessions along with speaking with the students about ways that they can combat the negative pitfalls of their environments. The students are encouraged to inspire one another to achieve goals, such as furthering their education to attend college. Parents and school administrators from Aldine ISD actively participate in the “Prepare to Dream” Peer Leadership Program as well.
YES Prep Public School system
First and Goal, Inc. is a long-standing community partner of YES Prep Public School system. We have partnered with the YES Prep Gulfton campus the past three years facilitating the Equip 24/7 Leadership Development Program sessions with middle school and high school students. Each session that we have with the students allows us to empower the students with the necessary tools to prepare them for life.
Greater Houston Senior Football Showcase
First and Goal, Inc. has partnered with the Greater Houston Senior Football Showcase to support in the work of furthering student-athletes education in college through football. The Greater Houston Senior Football Showcase is for high school seniors to display their skills to Division II, III and NAIA football programs with the hope of receiving a scholarship. First and Goal, Inc., connect and support many students throughout Houston. The partnership with the Greater Houston Senior Football Showcase is a natural fit to assist students in their efforts to continue their education.
